Our Mother, Vivian Bloh Holliday, passed away last Friday night. It was a shock as she was diagnosed with cancer on the previous Sunday. She spent most of her life as a High School teacher focusing on business education. A couple of years into her retirement Mike and I moved out of on-site sales and started Top Guns Realty. In the beginning one thing we were sorely lacking was an administrator and Mom agreed to come up and help us put things into a proper order. She worked tirelessly to help us create a successful company, spending nights and weekend days helping us and our agents navigate all of the things necessary to succeed. During her time working with us we rose to one of the top ERA’s in the country with over $100,000,000 in sales in 2007 with only 18 agents. Shortly after that we sold the company and she helped us to get back to focusing on Lake Keowee exclusively (Mike had always done this, I’d been pulled in several directions as the BIC). She helped us to expand our Keowee office and make it run smoothly for far less compensation than she was worth retiring from us in 2013 but continuing to help whenever needed. She spent many years of her life making sure her boys were successful and happy. During that same period of time she worked hard to be an excellent Grandmother spending time taking our kids on adventures and creating special memories. While we thanked her quite a bit, I don’t believe we could ever thank her enough.
Mom, we love you very much and you will be missed.
