Meat of the Order
Using a baseball term feels apropos when describing the Lake Keowee Real Estate selling season. Spring training – in baseball, teams are getting geared up for the season and try to burst out of he starting gate with some early wins. I real estate, sellers get their lot or home listed and in “selling shape”. Opening Day – in baseball, the most diehard fans fill the stadiums early and often to cheer their teams on and show sometimes rabid support when most fans are still thawing out from the previous winter. In real estate, homes and lots that have positioned themselves the best will make their own breaks and get sold early. All-Star break – in baseball, good teams assess their season so far and decide what changes and improvements need to take place in order to a successful home stretch. In real estate, sellers of as yet unsold properties look at the market and adjust pricing, fix problems and study what the potential buyers have been saying. The Playoffs – in baseball, the teams that are close to success have made a trade or two to over the last couple of months to get the right players while in real estate, sellers have assessed other homes that have sold as well as their unsold competition in an effort to see success before the season ends. This is not to say homes and lots don’t get sold over the winter, just like baseball for kids seems to go on for 11+ months or so nowadays. I just thought that common thread was kinda cool.
We’ve had another successful week, putting a lot under contract and are currently working on 5 – count em’ – FIVE offers. Hopefully we can get them all to contract, once again keep your fingers crossed. I’m not even counting the 3 new listings we’ve added (ok maybe I am), as always beautiful properties!
Make sure your home or lot is primed for a great season. Price it well in comparison to the competition and make it look its best and have it ready to play!
