Hot and Dry!
You wouldn’t know it from last night’s deluge emanating from the various thunderstorms that rolled through our area, but the Lake Keowee area has landed right into ‘moderate’ drought status. It has been quite a while of beautiful sunny days with no wet stuff to mare the festivities. Rain is something we have to have though I personally would prefer it to happen at night (except on occasions where I’m up late at night where I’d prefer it happen early in the morning so I can sleep longer). The ‘moderate’ drought has yet to affect any lake levels significantly, but if it starts to Lakes Hartwell and Jocassee will be the first to drop. That’s the great thing about Keowee, they use the water from the Bad Creek project and Jocassee to keep her close to full pond even in the worst of droughts. Try a waterfront lifestyle on Hartwell when the level is down 20 plus feet – not so much a lifestyle as a unattainable dream.
Business, business, business is that all we think about here at Mike and Matt Roach Top Guns Realty? Seems like it, and isn’t that great for you the consumer of our one-track mindedness. Over the past week we’ve made great strides towards our $30,000,000 goal for 2016. We’ve put a couple more properties under contract and are getting close to a doosey. Hopefully all the pieces will come together, though the one thing you learn over and over again in real estate is hope for success but plan for problems.
Sellers, there is still plenty of season left and our schedule of buyers shows no signs of letting up. Houses are doing a bit better than 2015 and lots are doing a bit worse. Remember to do whatever it takes to make your property shine above the rest if you want her sold!
Buyers, have I told you how beautiful the leaves are in the fall on Lake Keowee?
