(I just love abbreviating 2 letter words) As I’ve been pointing out for a couple of years now we still need it, and how. An article came out in the paper yesterday exclaiming, “Drought Goes Out With a Vengeance” which is great news although Lake Jocassee remains more than 10 feet below full pond. But I digress (and depress), back to the bright side of an abundance of water and the plenitude of great deals available around Lake Keowee!
As of this moment, approximately 10% of all lots on Lake Keowee are available for sale. In actual numbers, this means that there are more than 400 properties on the block! But when you break it down by criteria there are still just a few that would fit your individual needs so not every single one of them would curl your toes or seem so sweet they would make your teeth rot. In other words, you want a sloped lot with a southern view, beach and shallow water for swimming and you need it all for less than $200,000. Four hundred properties just dropped to 3 and if there is someone else out there looking for the same thing (which there is) your 3 could go to 2, 1 or none within minutes. I can’t tell you the number of times a property has sat on the market with no activity for an extended period of time, then out of nowhere 2 couples have deemed it there favorite leading to a competition. What’s the moral of the story? Get your ducks in a row, be bold, make a decision, pull the trigger with confidence and get what you’ve always desired: your own beautiful Lake Keowee waterfront piece of real estate!
As for you sellers; grass, weeds, vines and volunteer trees are growing fast thanks to all the extra rain. Make sure your property shines brighter than the competition and keep it that way. Be certain to maintain easy access if it’s a lot and pleasing curb appeal if it’s a lake front home and we at Top Guns Realty will market it like no one else can!
