Bird Song
As predicted, the temperatures climbed up into the high 60’s this past weekend and although it was a bit overcast, there was the palpating ambience of spring in our midst. The song birds felt it and they were letting us know it, too. There was the sense that the leaves, grass and flowers, any and every seasonal carbon-based organism was on the verge of bursting out. NOT SO FAST! We had to pump our brakes because today we’re back to 53 degrees and rainy with a cold front bearing down on us. But that glimpse of what the next few weeks holds has caused a spring fever outbreak of epidemic proportions. We are so ready to get back in and on the water! Specifically the shimmering Lake Keowee and Lake Jocassee.
How’s business? I know your dying to know. Well, it’s good news. We were able to put two lots under contract over the past week, but did lose the contract on one house so things kind of Even-Stevened. Still, tremendous activity for this time of year. Over the next 10 days we will close over $4.4 million in property. That’s a good 10 days in anybody’s book, I don’t care who you are. I have to say it again, “2016 is going to be a GOOD YEAR.”
What should you sellers be worried about right now? Simply put, your competition. There is still a ton of it out there and this is where you need your focus to be. How does my property stack up against the others? Would it be worth my while to do something unique to make my property more competitive? Adjust the price, clean up the property, add a viewing platform, what? If you’re befuddled, ring us up and we’ll discuss your options at length.
Buyers, all this competition is your friend! Now’s the time to buy so you can have everything in place for when the summer hits us like a bomb. The fuse is lit!!!
