Just can’t think of a better Christmas gift to give yourself (or your spouse…especially if he or she is reading this over your shoulder) than a new piece of lake front property or even a home on Lake Keowee. Just try to imagine how many hours, days, months or years of enjoyment you’ll get! That to me is a lot better than a Lexus with a big red ribbon or even a pony. The good news is there are numerous homes for sale that can be rented out while you’re not on vacation giving you the potential for an income or at least a legitimate shot at breaking even while still enjoying your Lake Keowee ownership. Obviously we’ve owned several properties on Lake Keowee and our current Lake Keowee home is a vacation/rental place that stays rented throughout the summer, as well as all of the Clemson home football games, for Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year’s Eve almost without fail every year. We can even help get yours rented for you!
As for business, we’ve had a few setbacks with a couple of deals falling through, one over a variance and another over financing. Be wary of using a home equity loan to purchase a second home property. Land appears to not be a problem, but be certain to let the financier know your intentions as some of the major banks have a problem when they are not aware of your plans. Fortunately, we’ve been able to ink up a couple of bigger deals to replace them including a million plus dollar home and a smaller lot! Our intention is to keep the bus rolling throughout the winter!
Please contact us with any questions you might want answered in this forum and I’ll be happy to address them…it’ll give me something new to talk about.
Seller’s, spring will be here before you know it so now is a great time to take care of those odds and ends around your home/property to make it shine above the competition. Buyers, buy now because the price is right and you’ll be ready to enjoy 2015 in your new Lake Keowee or Jocassee home!
