SOOO HOOOOT!
Our first big burst of hot has hit. It landed on us this past weekend after the rains subsided and resulted in a funny little simile we made up: Man, it’s freezing hot outside! The good news is it’s not bad at all in the mornings or the afternoons, in fact it’s quite pleasant. We went out late Friday cruising around Lake Jocassee enjoying the incredible views and the various waterfalls. Then we went out on Lake Keowee early yesterday to shoot some videos and pictures. I have to say the experience was breathtaking, not because of the heat, because of the spectacular views on both lakes. Having sold real estate on these lakes for the past 26 years you’d think we’d be jaded. You’d be wrong.
Business? A bit slow last week, although we were able to put one lot under contract, but the tours for homes and otherwise were somewhat limited. That’s not out of the ordinary for this time of year as we always seem to see a bit of a lull right after the kids get out of school. Families are hitting the road, visiting friends, relations, etc. We expect this slow period to pass unnoticed and we’ll back to business as usual; putting multiple properties under contract week after week. We are certainly working very, very hard to get your property out in front of as many eyes as possible and with mornings and evenings like we experienced over the past few days, it’s just a matter of time. Mother nature’s gonna set ’em up and we’re gonna knock down!
Sellers, the grass is growing, weeds are popping. Time to invest heavily in Round Up.
Buyers, the time is now. Not tomorrow…NOW!!!!
