Summer 2013, the Last Gasp
Last weekend on Lake Keowee we ran the full gamut of early fall appearances. Friday afternoon was a bit overcast but still warm allowing the kids to enjoy a late afternoon/early evening swim. That was followed by an extremely rainy Saturday setting us up for a perfect rainy afternoon for the kids to enjoy an afternoon swim. Saturday’s sunset was one for the record books as the clouds dissipated revealing a breathtaking twilight (see the pictures on our Lake Keowee Real Estate Expert Facebook page-link below). Sunday morning, not in the least intimidated by the previous two weekend days, rocked out with crystal clear skies and loooong range mountain views–spectacular again followed by a perfect Sunday afternoon for the kids to enjoy many hours of swimming and playing on the beaches. Perhaps you picked up on the theme, my kids will swim in any weather. In fact if we allowed it, they’d be in the lake playing Marco/Polo during a thunderstorm…ah, the magnificence of youth.
As for the Lake Keowee real estate market, we keep pumping along. We’ve put another home under contract and are working on an offer for still another. We, Mike and I, are now over 50 sides closed for 2013 with the hopes of closing another 10 plus before the curtain falls.
We’ve been able to pick up some excellent new waterfront Lake Keowee lots at great prices and are getting ready to put at least one if not two Lake Jocassee homes on the market (really special properties that come on the market very rarely). Make sure you take the time to watch the new aerial videos for these properties as you will be blown away.
