Spring is Here!
Fantastic news. It doesn’t just feel and look like spring, it is spring! Monday March 20th made it official and boys and girls we are excited! The temperatures will sneak up into the 80’s today and that will start bringing the water temperatures up to a respectable warmth, as well. My kids have been ready to jump in the water for over a month now. Although blue is an attractive skin tone on them, I’m pretty sure allowing them to willingly cheat frostbite ain’t gonna win me any parent of the year awards. Give it a few more weeks and we’ll all be dipping more than our toes into Lake Keowee and Jocassee waters. That also means that we’re heading into the selling season as folks try to find that special Lake Keowee home or waterfront property over the next few weeks so they can be settled into something comfortable by July 4th.
Spring or no, we remain extremely busy with 22 sides and $6,000,000 in real estate closed since January 1st of this year and there’s no slowdown in sight. And that’s the way (uh huh, uh huh) we like it (uh huh, uh huh), since slowdowns can lead to skinny, non-college educated kids that never move out coupled with numerous worrisome and sleepless nights that nobody wants a part of. The good news remains, still plenty of waterfront lots to choose from with over 450 currently on the market. It’s a great time to get a lot and sit on it until you are ready to build your dream home. The bad news is if you are looking for a waterfront home between $500,000 and $600,000 your choices are practically anorexic with only 4 currently to choose from. Between $600,000 and $700,000, however, the choices expand as there are currently 18 active. Looks to me like the lot sales are going to start perking up as folks take that awesome plunge into building your own dream lake home. Either way we are here for all of you!
