‘Summer Nights’ series to return to Walhalla this week
By Jason Evans – WALHALLA – “Summer Nights on Short Street,” Walhalla’s family entertainment series, will return this week.
The Series sponsored by the city of Walhalla, took a break last week.
The event will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, according to Holly Douglas, one of the series’ organizers.
The theme will be “A Night at the Museums.”
“That will be featuring the Oconee Heritage Center. Patriot’s Hall and the Museum of the Cherokee,” Douglas said.
Both the Oconee Heritage Center and Patriot’s Hall will be offering special children’s programming espalier Thursday before “Summer Nights” kicks off at 6 p.m.
Summer Nights series to return to Walhalla this week
J.D. Hoggs BBZ will be on site, and F.I.R.E. will be the night’s musical entertainment. As always, there will be bouncy houses, chalk and other activities for children.
“There will be free face-painting, free balloon art,” Douglas said.
Sno-cones will also be sold.
