The Bob Campbell Geology Museum
The Bob Campbell Geology Museum (BCGM) houses an impressive collection of over 10,000 rocks, minerals, fossils, lapidary objects (carvings, gemstones), and artifacts (mining equipment, Native American tools).
What was originally begun as a small collection at Clemson University grew substantially over the years, and a stand-alone museum, the BCGM, was constructed in the South Carolina Botanical Garden in 1998.
Beginning its 12th year, the BCGM has become a premier learning institution focusing on making connections between people and their environment.
Located on the SC National Heritage Corridor and just 15 minutes from I-85, the BCGM hosts thousands of visitors a year, including school children, college students, scholars, local residents and travelers from around the world.
