The Town of Sharon Historical Marker is located in the center of Sharon, South Carolina, at the intersection of York Street and Bell Avenue. This marker commemorates the incorporation of Sharon by the South Carolina General Assembly in 1889. It was erected in 1979 by the Historical Society of York County. ​

The marker is situated near a park and the city hall. While it is in a central location, some visitors have noted that the marker’s condition is less than ideal, with peeling and fading text.
