Newberry Museum

The museum’s exhibits span multiple levels:
- Main Floor: Features displays on Newberry College, military recognition, local industry, entertainment, and interactive maps.
- Mezzanine: Highlights notable Newberrians, a historical timeline, local athletes, and furniture displays.
- Lower Level: Includes exhibits on the history of lighting, agriculture, and timber, as well as a children’s area and gallery hall.
The museum regularly features rotating exhibits. For instance, the “Festival of Trees” showcased themed trees reflecting Newberry’s history and culture.
Housed in the historic “Taylor” Building, constructed in 1911 as a U.S. Post Office, the museum itself is a piece of history. The building later served as the Newberry-Saluda Regional Library before its transformation into the Newberry Museum, opening to the public on December 15, 2019.
