John C. Calhoun Hotel
The John C. Calhoun Hotel was a historic landmark located at 402 North Main Street in Anderson, South Carolina. Constructed in 1925, it was designed by architects James J. Baldwin and James H. Casey, and built by the Fiske-Carter Construction Company, one of the largest contractors in the state during the 1920s . The hotel was established to promote business in the downtown area and stands as an example of early 20th-century hotels .
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the building has been meticulously restored to its original splendor, retaining its classic styling while being updated with modern amenities. Today, it operates as The Calhoun, offering luxury downtown condos and apartments.
