The John Albert Gibert M.D. House, located near McCormick in McCormick County, South Carolina, is a distinguished example of an elaborated upcountry I-House. The house is a two-story, frame, weatherboard-sheathed structure, featuring a full-height portico supported by massive Doric order masonry columns, a central entrance with pilastered door surrounds, sidelights, and a transom, as well as interior mantels and door and window surrounds that exhibit Greek Revival influences.

The property also includes a one-story frame outbuilding, originally a single dwelling constructed around 1900, which later served as a general store.
