Catholic Presbyterian Church is a historic church located in Chester County, South Carolina, near the town of Chester. Despite its name, the church is Presbyterian in denomination—“Catholic” in the name refers to the universal church, not Roman Catholicism. This naming was not uncommon in early American history to signify the church’s outreach to all believers.
