Carolina Supply Company
The Carolina Supply Company Building is a notable historic structure situated at 35 West Court Street in downtown Greenville, South Carolina. Constructed in 1914, this four-story brick building exemplifies the utilitarian Renaissance Revival architectural style. It was designed by J.E. Sirrine, a prominent mill architect and engineer in the region, and built by Carter-Fiske Construction.
Established in 1899, the Carolina Supply Company played a pivotal role in supporting the textile industry in upstate South Carolina by supplying mills with essential equipment and materials. The building’s design reflects its industrial purpose, featuring a symmetrical façade with three bays, original storefronts, and a prominent metal cornice above the first floor.
In recognition of its architectural and historical importance, the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 3, 1997.
