ARP Printing Office
The ARP Printing Office on Bonner Street was the central hub for publishing the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church’s official literature for nearly a century. From newspapers started in the 1850s to denominational journals and hymnals, this facility helped mold both local identity and regional religious culture. Today, it stands as a significant historic building within the Erskine College campus, a testament to Due West’s deep ties with the ARP Church. Due West served as the denomination’s official center for publishing, producing its magazines and newspapers such as the Erskine Miscellany, the Due‑West Telescope, and later The Associate Reformed Presbyterian journal.
- The Erskine Miscellany began in 1851 in Due West, followed by the Due‑West Telescope in 1852, and by 1867 the flagship denomination publication The Associate Reformed Presbyterian was released from the same press .
- The Bonner Street facility handled printing of the Psalter, official ARP magazines, denominational journals, and Sunday School materials for nearly 80 years
The building is a contributing property within the Erskine College–Due West Historic District, listed on the National Register since 1982
