The Edward J. Arthur House is a historic residence located at 508 East Main Street in Union, South Carolina. Built circa 1890, the house underwent significant alterations around 1920. It is recognized as a contributing property within the East Main Street–Douglass Heights Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The house is associated with Edward J. “Ned” Arthur, who acquired the property around 1920. City directories from 1954 list Edward J. Arthur as the resident, and by 1984, the house was owned by Robert M. Cody. The original builder is not definitively known, but historical records suggest that J.H. Rodgers or Dick Morgan may have been the initial owners or builders in the late 19th century.

The Edward J. Arthur House contributes to the architectural and historical character of the East Main Street–Douglass Heights Historic District, which features a variety of styles from the 19th and early 20th centuries. The district includes notable dwellings such as the Steadman-Nicholson House, Laurens G. Young House, and William H. Wallace House.
